    When you ask Cabriolet Motors, LLC to help you finance a vehicle, you trust us with information that matters. This notice explains, in plain language, what we collect, why we collect it, who we may share it with, and how we look after it.

    What we collect when you request financing

    • Identity information, such as your legal name, date of birth, Social Security number and driver's-licence details.
    • Contact information, such as your address, telephone numbers and email address.
    • Employment and income information, such as your employer, job title, length of employment and income.
    • Financial information, such as your housing costs, monthly obligations, banking relationship and trade-in details.

    How we use it

    We use your information to evaluate and process the transaction you asked us for: to review your credit application, to prepare and service a retail installment contract if one is issued, and to carry out lawful account servicing or collection activity where that becomes necessary. We also use it to contact you about your application.

    Who we may share it with

    When you have authorized it and the law permits it, we may share your application and supporting information with selected lenders, assignees, underwriters, consumer reporting agencies (credit bureaus) and service providers involved in your transaction. We share only what is needed for that purpose.

    Cabriolet Motors does not sell finance-application information for unrelated advertising.

    How we protect it

    Sensitive information is protected with safeguards designed to keep it confidential, including:

    • Restricted access limited to authorized finance personnel.
    • Additional authentication before finance records can be opened.
    • Encryption of the most sensitive information.
    • Private storage that is not publicly reachable.
    • Auditing of access to protected information.
    • Retention limits and secure disposal when information is no longer needed.

    No internet system, and no method of electronic storage or transmission, can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We work to protect your information but we cannot promise absolute security.

    Please do not use ordinary email or text message

    Never send Social Security numbers, banking or account details, images of identity documents, or complete financial applications by ordinary email or text message. Those channels are not secure. If we need supporting documents, we will arrange a secure process with you after your application has been reviewed.

    Applying is not an approval

    Submitting an application is not an approval, a loan commitment or a guarantee of financing. Credit terms depend on lender underwriting and are never final until a lender issues a written approval.
